What does the job entail?

As a developer with us, you will work in agile teams with both new development and further development of our web applications. You will work with Jakarta EE and Java 21 on the backend and Angular on the frontend, in a platform based on open source.

We have several teams that together develop and maintain system support for the core operations of the courts within case and matter management. A challenge for the coming years is the development of the next generation of the largest system support.

The development takes place in a modern environment where we continuously develop our working methods based on agile principles. We focus on increasing the automation of testing, builds, and deployments in line with DevOps. Tools used in development include IntelliJ, Maven, Jenkins, Git, SonarQube, and Docker. To keep track of work, we use Jira and Confluence.

We have several competence groups where you can exchange experiences with other experienced and competent colleagues. It is important for us that you develop together with us!

Who are we looking for?

You have a university education in IT or equivalent knowledge acquired in another way. You have a strong interest in programming and Java full-stack development as your specialty. You can be a junior with a couple of years of experience or an experienced developer.

As a person, you are curious and enjoy problem-solving, you are unpretentious and have an easy time communicating. You have your own drive and see collaboration as natural and want to take responsibility together with others for us to develop and succeed in our deliveries. Achieving set goals and delivering with good quality is important to you.

You have knowledge of some of the following technologies, components, or working methods:

  • Jakarta EE and Java 21.
  • HTML, Javascript, Typescript, or preferably some web framework such as Angular.
  • DevOps: Container, Docker, Jenkins, and GIT.
  • Unit testing.
  • Agile working methods.

It is also advantageous if you have experience in conducting builds and deliveries.

All our work, both orally and in writing, is conducted in Swedish, so you need to handle the Swedish language fluently in both speech and text.

Who are we

The IT department of the Court Authority has nearly 120 employees and is the heart of the digitization of 80 courts. We facilitate the everyday life of about 7,400 users in Sweden's courts and thereby contribute to legal security and democracy for the country's residents. Every day.

Together with other nearby authorities, the Swedish Courts also play an important role in the digitization of the information flow within the entire judiciary.

The Court Authority's modern headquarters is located in the expanding Jönköping and has local offices in Stockholm, Gothenburg, Umeå, and Malmö. About 400 people work at the authority.

The place of employment is Jönköping. A probationary period may apply. Remote work can be agreed upon for up to two days a week. This will be determined in dialogue with the nearest manager.
