About the position

As a personal assistant, you will primarily help the customer with everything that arises in their daily life. Personal assistance is an intervention according to LSS (The Act on Support and Service for Certain Disabled Persons). Each person granted assistance is unique, and your tasks will vary based on the customer's needs. You will respect the customer's self-determination and integrity, contributing to a smooth daily life. The customer's individual needs will guide your workday, which may include assistance with mobility, personal care, training and communication, as well as daily chores and activities inside and outside the home.

To thrive as a personal assistant, it is important to have good chemistry between you as the assistant and the customer. Each assistance is unique, and it is the customer's individual needs that dictate what you will do and how the working hours will look. During the recruitment process, we will therefore find out more about you and who you are to be able to find a mutual match between you and the customer. You will be informed during the recruitment process about which customer(s) you will be working with and how the work routines look there.

At Humana, it is important that both you as a new assistant and the customer feel secure in the collaboration with each other. Therefore, all new assistants receive a tailored introduction, both to the professional role and to the specific customer you will be working with.

We are looking for someone who is good at creating good relationships, has a strong commitment, wants to take responsibility, and can easily adapt to new situations. Since all our customers have different needs and wishes, we ask you to respond as clearly and thoroughly as possible to the selection questions – this increases the chances that we can match you with the right assignment.

Working hours and employment rate

As a summer substitute, you will work as an hourly substitute or on a temporary contract with a schedule with one or more of our customers. Working hours vary according to each customer's needs and can range between day, evening, night, weekdays, and weekends. We match your availability with the customer's needs. Please describe any preferences for working hours in your application.

Start date

There may be an opportunity to start earlier and work as an hourly substitute before the summer substitute position begins. Please indicate in your application if this is of interest to you and when you would be able to start. The start date for the summer substitute position will otherwise be agreed upon.

Being employed at Humana

A prerequisite for starting employment with us at Humana is that you can present valid ID and any documents that confirm your right to work in Sweden. To work as a personal assistant, you must be at least 18 years old.

According to legislation, we as employers are required to request a criminal record extract from all employees who will work as personal assistants for a child under 18 years old. Therefore, you will need to present an extract from the police's criminal record before a potential employment. Further information will be provided if you proceed in the recruitment process.
