Your Mission

In the role of preschool assistant, you will work in a senior children's department alongside a preschool teacher and two other preschool assistants. Together, you will create a pedagogical environment that is safe, fun, and developmental for each child. You will contribute to both secure care and to stimulating the children's individual development and learning.

Under the guidance of the preschool teacher, you will participate in planning, implementation, follow-up, and evaluation of teaching in accordance with the preschool curriculum and the organization's goals. The work is theme-oriented. You will actively participate in pedagogical documentation and in the preschool's continuous development work. Currently, the Älta principal area has a special focus on children's language development and movement. You are expected to inspire and promote language and movement through varied activities, both indoors and outdoors, adapted to the children's needs and interests.

Your Experience

For this position, you are required to have:

• high school or post-secondary education as a preschool assistant
• experience working with children
• knowledge of the curriculum's content and how it can be implemented in practice
• interest in working with children in need of extra adjustments and special support
• the ability and interest to work with both older and younger children in preschool
• good ability to express yourself well in Swedish in both speech and writing.

It is an advantage if you also have:

• experience working as a preschool assistant
• experience leading children in sports or other leisure activities
• experience in pedagogical documentation and theme-oriented work
• experience working with children in need of extra adjustments and special support
• experience working with children with NPF diagnoses
• experience developing learning environments.

We Offer

Solängen Preschool is a small and pleasant organization with about 55 children distributed across three departments. It is a stable and well-functioning preschool located in a scenic and safe area. Books and reading are actively used in teaching, and we keep ourselves updated with current research. Our children are often outdoors, and both the preschool's beautiful yard and the scenic surroundings are frequently used in activities and teaching.
