We are now looking for several preschool assistants for both short and long-term positions.

With us, you will work in a clear organization where the best interests of the children are in focus, and where we have established common positions on how we interpret our curriculum, how we work in learning environments, and what attitudes characterize our daily life in preschool. Vanadis Preschools have a consciously reflective working method and an organization that supports it. You will engage in reflection with colleagues in your department, at your own preschool, and with other preschools in the unit.

Vanadis Preschools consist of seven preschools at different addresses in Birkastan, Vasastan, and Haga city. In total, we have about 150 dedicated employees, around 600 children, and a management team consisting of a principal and four assistant principals. The unit also includes a pedagogista who supports educators in their teaching work and a special educator. We are inspired by the pedagogical philosophy of municipal preschools in Reggio Emilia.

Your Role

We are looking for a driven preschool assistant filled with joy, warmth, and enthusiasm, who focuses on what children have the right to in preschool and emphasizes creating good relationships with children, guardians, colleagues, and management. A preschool assistant who enjoys learning new things, inspiring others, and values everyone's participation, both children and adults. As a preschool assistant, it is important to contribute to the daily functioning of the preschool and that care, play, and teaching form a whole, where the daily pedagogical work is based on children's participation and choices. Together with other colleagues at the preschool, you contribute to creating a positive, meaningful, and developing environment for each child and for the entire group of children.

You will participate in the pedagogical development work and the pedagogical documentation according to the preschool's curriculum and operational goals. You are engaged and actively participate in planning and evaluating the work and value reflection as an important part of developing the preschool. You contribute during parent meetings and development discussions. In daily contacts with guardians, you are engaged, child-focused, service-oriented, and professional. You have very good knowledge of working with pedagogical documentation, developing learning environments, project-based working methods, and preferably digitalization.

Your Competence and Experience

For this position, you need to have:

• Preschool assistant education
• 1-3 years of experience working as a preschool assistant
• Experience working with pedagogical documentation

It is an advantage if you have:

• Experience working with children with functional variations

As a person, you are engaged, flexible, and responsible. Your child focus is clear, and you have a positive attitude towards your work and your team as well as towards the entire preschool and unit. You collaborate with children, colleagues, and guardians in a responsive and smooth manner and listen, communicate, and handle conflicts constructively. You are professional, development-oriented but act in accordance with decisions made, the curriculum, goals, policies, and guidelines. You are stable, meticulous, and self-driven in your work.
