Role Description In the role of Operational Buyer, you will be responsible for ensuring an efficient and cost-effective procurement of materials, components, and services. The role combines operational purchasing activities in daily work with a strategic focus on supplier management, contracts, and continuous improvement of procurement processes.

You have a central responsibility within the group to develop and implement standardized routines and working methods within the purchasing function. In close collaboration with cross-functional teams, including production, design/development, logistics, finance, and quality, you contribute to developing and implementing long-term purchasing and sourcing strategies that support the overall goals of the business.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct purchasing of materials, components, and services in accordance with technical specifications, prices, delivery schedules, and contractual terms.

  • Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers to ensure optimal commercial terms.

  • Establish and maintain long-term supplier relationships focusing on quality, delivery precision, and cost-effectiveness.

  • Follow up on deliveries and proactively manage deviations regarding delivery, price, and quality.

  • Collaborate closely with production, development, and finance for planning, forecasting, and optimizing purchasing needs.

  • Prepare purchasing reports, track key performance indicators, and analyze cost trends as a basis for decision-making.

  • Develop, implement, and continuously improve purchasing routines, processes, and tools.

  • Ensure that procurement work follows the company's policies, quality requirements, and environmental goals.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration or a related field, or equivalent knowledge through relevant work experience.

  • Experience in strategic purchasing and sourcing.

  • Documented experience in negotiation and management of supplier contracts.

  • Experience working in business systems (ERP) for purchasing and inventory management.

  • Strong analytical skills, including experience in data analysis and cost calculations.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, as well as the ability to influence stakeholders at various levels of the organization.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities with tight deadlines.

  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

  • Ability to adapt to changing business needs and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment.
