About Us

The Swedish Armed Forces Logistics (FMLOG) is responsible for logistics support to units, schools, and centers within the Armed Forces (FM) - nationally and internationally. Within FMLOG, the Armed Forces Transport Unit has functional management responsibility for the transport service within the Armed Forces and is tasked with coordinating the implementation of the Armed Forces' strategic and operational transports of personnel, equipment, and entire units. Transportations are carried out as air transport, sea transport, road, and rail transport, both within and outside the country.

The Travel Department's main task is to book and issue travel documents for the Armed Forces. We actively work with equality issues by creating understanding for all our differences. The goal is to achieve inclusion and diversity.

As a travel officer in the Group and Conference section, you will plan and book travel services according to agreements and regulations. You will book hotels, conferences, flights, boat, and ground transport and create documentation for invoicing travel services.

The work is performed in various systems such as Qondor, Outlook, and also Amadeus, AGM, and LinkOnline.

Main Responsibilities

As a travel officer in the Group and Conference section, you are responsible for planning, coordinating, and administering conferences, meeting arrangements, and travel.

The tasks include, among others:

  • Booking and coordinating venues, accommodation, travel, and technical equipment.
  • Contact with internal clients and external suppliers.
  • Conveying travel information to customers and providing a high level of service.
  • Administrative handling according to current routines and regulations.

REQUIREMENTS

  • 3-year upper secondary education or equivalent competence as assessed by the employer.
  • Experience in service and administration.
  • Documented good knowledge of Swedish and English in speech and writing.

Personal Qualities

We are looking for someone who is service-oriented, structured, and determined, and who makes correct assessments and priorities to achieve set production goals. To be successful in the role, you also need to be independent, have good collaboration skills, and be clear in your communication. You have a positive attitude towards all aspects of your work and can easily adapt and learn in a changing environment. We also see that you are skilled at building relationships and supporting others to achieve common goals. We value mutual trust where you are expected to take responsibility in your professional role.

Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.

DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS

  • Post-secondary education focusing on conference, congress, and meeting administration.
  • Experience in working with conferences, meetings, or similar arrangements.
  • Experience working in a business travel agency.
  • Knowledge of booking systems, e.g., Qondor.

Employment type: Permanent. The Armed Forces applies a six-month probationary period for those who are not employed by the authority.
