What does it mean to be a Store Manager at Sportshopen?

As a store manager, you are an operational leader, overseeing daily operations and having ultimate responsibility for your store and its staff. You motivate and lead your employees so that together you achieve set goals regarding sales and employee satisfaction.

Your role also includes:

• Being responsible for developing working methods and processes for how the store should operate effectively and follow Sportshopen's concept.
• Being responsible for monitoring key performance indicators in your store in line with company requirements.
• Sales and profitability responsibility as well as resource planning in the form of scheduling and staffing.
• Recruiting and onboarding new store staff.
• Implementing and ensuring that routines are followed - we work to maintain a safe and secure work environment.
• Creating conditions for you and your employees to develop.
• Always being a role model for your employees by working according to our values.

What is required to succeed in the role?

We believe you have experience in a similar role and are accustomed to working with staffing, personnel planning, and follow-up. Of course, you have experience in and are passionate about customer service and sales within retail, preferably in sports and clothing. You have at least a high school education, and if you have further developed your skills in leadership and/or economics, that is a plus. We see that you have knowledge of sports and leisure products and are good at conveying your knowledge to both colleagues and customers. You are, of course, passionate about sales and how you can influence your store's results!

Of course, you have a genuine interest in sports and leisure products, and we hope you have an active lifestyle.

Our Terms

The position is a permanent employment at 100% starting with a six-month probationary period, starting immediately. The position involves varying working hours, and weekend work is required. We have a collective agreement.

Start date according to agreement, preferably as soon as possible.

Who are we?

Swedemount Sportswear & Fashion AB started in 1991 and today has 23 stores under the name Sportshopen and one store under the name Bazar. In Sörred outside Gothenburg, we have our 20,000 sqm automated warehouse and office. In Grebbestad on the west coast, we also have our headquarters and our largest store, which is the largest sports store in the Nordics at 14,000 sqm.

Our stores are located throughout Sweden, from north to south, with a growing e-commerce presence that also extends to the European market. Sportshopen is now one of the larger individual players in Sweden in the sale of sports and leisure products. Our range mainly consists of clothing and shoes from leading brand suppliers, but we also develop and manufacture our own brands - clothing that can be used for activities in harsh climates, year-round.
