Procurement Coordinator at Västerås City

As a procurement coordinator with us, you are the spider in the web of the procurement work. You create order, coordinate competencies, and drive quality at every step, while your work contributes to sustainable solutions for an entire city.

Your Responsibilities

In the role of procurement coordinator, you have a central function within the property unit and contribute to creating structure, overview, and quality in the administration's procurement and purchasing work. You are the link between the strategic procurement unit and the administration in procurement and purchasing matters and are responsible for coordinating and planning the administration's procurement needs so that they are clear, well-prepared, and sustainable in the long term.

You participate throughout the procurement process and coordinate the administration's expert groups. The role involves acting as a cohesive link between purchasers and clients. A central part of the assignment is to ensure that the work is conducted correctly and in accordance with the Public Procurement Act (LOU), as well as providing support to colleagues on issues related to purchasing and procurement. You are also responsible for analyzing the unit's purchasing patterns and volumes in the city's spending tool. Before the board, you prepare and establish decision-making documents and papers regarding contracts and procurements, which places high demands on accuracy, objectivity, and quality.

Your Competence

To succeed in this role, you have a post-secondary education in purchasing or procurement, or a completed high school education combined with work experience in the field. You have good knowledge of the Public Procurement Act (LOU) and are well acquainted with the procurement process. In addition, you have experience presenting and giving lectures to larger groups and are comfortable conveying information and reasoning to different target groups. You are also confident and unpretentious in coordinating and bringing together people with different backgrounds in varying constellations. Experience with ABT 06 is an advantage.

In connection with the interview, you will need to prove your citizenship. You can do this with a passport or a certificate of citizenship along with an ID document.
