Are you ready to convey history and culture through engaging stories? As a guide at Sala Silvermine, you will be the link between the past and the present as you lead our guests through unforgettable experiences in a unique environment – both above and below ground.

• Deliver world-class hospitality by greeting our guests in the best possible way, every day and in all situations.

• Engage and inspire guests by sharing the exciting history of the mine in both Swedish and English.

• Work in a varied environment, from the deep parts of the mine to the scenic surroundings above ground.

• Ensure guest safety underground, with support and security from colleagues above ground.

• Contribute to smooth operations by stepping in and supporting other parts of the business as needed.

• Is comfortable speaking in front of groups and easily connects with people.

• Has a genuine interest in history and culture, or a desire to develop it. The most important thing is that you strive to provide our guests with memorable experiences and are curious to learn what you do not yet know.

• Is flexible and responsible, and can adapt to different tasks and situations.

• Enjoys working both in teams and independently, and takes initiative when needed.

• Is comfortable working underground for extended periods.

• Has good physical ability, as you will be going up and down the mine via stairs.

Previous experience in guiding, service, or storytelling is a plus, but not a requirement – we will train you!

• The summer season runs from June, July, and August, with our greatest need for staff during the period June 15 - August 10. However, the need may vary depending on the position. Working hours may occur on all days of the week and during inconvenient times.

• For all seasonal positions, mandatory training starts in April. The extent of the training varies depending on the position, and some parts require you to participate physically on-site.

We would also like to inform you that leave during June, July, and August cannot be guaranteed.
