Job Description

As an Operational Buyer, you will work operationally with purchasing for marine maintenance projects, focusing on both planned and corrective maintenance for surface vessels and submarines. The role involves ensuring access to everything from spare parts and components to specialized services, often in technically complex environments with high demands on quality, safety, and delivery precision.

The work as an Operational Buyer is varied and investigative by nature. You will actively gather information, contact suppliers, compare options, and ensure that the right solution is ordered based on the project's needs.

In this role, you will collaborate closely with purchasing project leaders and other functions within the purchasing organization. As an Operational Buyer, you will also contribute to developing and improving working methods related to operational purchasing and maintenance processes.

About the Candidate We Are Looking For

To succeed in the role of Operational Buyer, we are looking for someone with a basic purchasing competence, either through education in purchasing or relevant work experience. You communicate fluently in both Swedish and English, in speech and writing.

As a person, you are responsible and proactive, with the ability to take ownership of your tasks and follow up until they are completed. You are unpretentious and solution-focused, and you are not afraid to raise questions when you encounter difficulties. The role of Operational Buyer also requires you to be communicative and enjoy collaborating closely with other functions within the organization.

Mandatory Requirements:

Purchasing competence through education and/or work experience
Good knowledge of Swedish and English
The position requires you to undergo and be approved according to the Security Protection Act, which requires Swedish citizenship and a clean criminal record
