ValueOne is looking for a Strategic Buyer for our client in the manufacturing industry, located in Skåne & Blekinge. A consultancy assignment for 6 months with the possibility of extension, starting in early 2026. Experience in strategic purchasing within mechanics or electronics is required, and the client will consider candidates with both short and long experience in strategic purchasing, ranging from 2 years to over 10 years.

About the role
As a strategic buyer, you will be responsible for developing and implementing sourcing strategies within your product area or project. You will negotiate and establish supplier agreements and ensure cost-effective and business-oriented purchases in line with the company's goals and requirements. The role is central to driving and developing the purchasing process, focusing on ensuring the availability of components and creating strong supplier collaborations that support the business's projects.

• Be responsible for strategic purchases of mechanical or electronic components or raw materials from the current and future supplier base.
• Negotiate, establish, and administer supplier agreements and ensure that agreements are implemented and complied with internally.
• Participate as a purchasing representative in product development projects and other processes to integrate purchasing and supplier aspects.
• Lead the purchasing team and drive activities for supplier selection, including sending out and evaluating RFI/RFP/RFQ.
• Ensure that necessary export documentation is available before project decisions.
• Conduct supplier evaluations and maintain an approved supplier list.
• Be the main contact for commercial issues with suppliers within the assigned area/project.

Experience and competencies

Experience in strategic purchasing within the manufacturing industry, and an academic background in engineering or economics is preferred. Solid knowledge of the supplier market, production processes, contract management, negotiation, cost and risk analysis, as well as experience with ERP systems and very good knowledge of Swedish and English are essential. Experience with quality and environmental systems (ISO 9001/14001) and category and project purchasing is a plus.

As a person, you are business-oriented, driven, have the ability to build networks and collaborate cross-functionally. You possess excellent communication skills, work independently and in a structured manner, and have a high ability to quickly absorb and share new knowledge.
