SiS LVM home Renforsen is located in Vindeln and provides care for men who have alcohol, drug, or mixed substance abuse, in combination with mental health issues.

Job Description

Do you want to help create life-changing differences for vulnerable people? Then the job as a treatment pedagogical assistant at SiS is a meaningful challenge. We are now looking for at least 6 substitutes who can cover as needed. The goal of your assignment is to motivate our clients to new and less risky ways of living. As a treatment assistant, you are employed to provide care and treatment. You contribute to ensuring that the routines in the department function as they should. You play a significant role in the stability and safety of our clients, and you are responsible for the basics of daily life such as schooling, cleaning, cooking, and more. You help maintain order and safety in the institution according to our routines. Documentation is an important part of your work. You will work on building secure relationships and contribute to ensuring that our clients receive the safety and security they need to break habitual behaviors. Together with your team of dedicated colleagues such as treatment pedagogues and treatment coordinators, you have the opportunity to achieve good results and contribute to change. The job is often demanding but also stimulating, joyful, and varied.

Working hours are as needed according to a schedule during the day, evening, weekend, or night.

As a new employee at SiS LVM home Renforsen, you will undergo a local introductory training for one week, after which you will have onboarding in the department with an appointed supervisor. All parts of the introduction and training prepare you for the treatment role in SiS's operations.

Qualifications

Your personal suitability is key to life-changing transformation. Therefore, you need to have a good ability to create engagement and participation. Equally important is that you have a solid positive view of people, a high degree of empathy, and the ability to build good relationships. You have good communication skills and can remain calm even in stressful situations. You also have the ability to collaborate with others and are happy to share your knowledge with colleagues.

You should also have:

• At least a 2-year post-secondary education from a folk high school or vocational college (KY/YH) or other education equivalent to this. The education should be focused on social work, social pedagogy, behavioral science, or another relevant subject area.
• Driver's license B
• Good Swedish in speech and writing

*Exceptions to the requirement for at least a two-year post-secondary education may be made in individual cases if there are special reasons according to Chapter 5, Section 4 of the Social Services Ordinance (2025:468).

It is meritorious if you have:

• Experience working with people in vulnerable life situations, e.g., in psychiatry or LSS care.
• Experience in client-facing positions within other government authorities.
• Education in health and social care.
• Experience working with our target group in substance abuse care.
