The Department of Health and Care is responsible for providing care, support, and assistance to the elderly and people with disabilities, as well as support for their relatives. Our goal is to provide good conditions for an independent, stimulating, and safe living situation - around the clock, with a citizen focus. The Position and Responsibilities

Botkyrka's newly opened care and nursing home in Vårsta, beautifully located by Brosjön, is looking for experienced nursing assistants who want to help develop care.

As a nursing assistant, you are responsible for providing care and support to the elderly, where the individual needs of the residents guide the content of the work. We work with a habilitative approach to support the elderly in preserving their abilities. The work includes performing nursing interventions according to care plans and health care tasks according to delegation. You also offer activities and social content for the residents and create good relationships with both the residents and their relatives.

Your main responsibilities:

• Meet the individual care, nursing, and service needs of the residents.
• Implement delegated health care interventions in accordance with the Health and Medical Services Act.
• Provide social support.
• Establish and follow up care plans in close dialogue with the care recipient.
• Document according to SoL in Lifecare.
• Conduct risk assessments for both care recipients and the work environment.

We work with joint planning and have a high basic staffing level. All employees belong to a base unit where they are scheduled for most of their working hours, but there are also shifts where you can work as a resource during short absences.

You will work in our newly opened departments with flexible working hours scheduled for days, evenings, or nights, and work may occur on all days of the week. Shifts in other units may occur.

You Who Are Applying to Us

You have an education from the Health and Care program or a nursing assistant education from Komvux/University of Applied Sciences, which has provided you with the knowledge and skills required to work in elderly care and health care.

Other Requirements:

• Several years of work experience in elderly care, where you have worked with elderly individuals with specific needs and ensured high-quality care.
• You must be able to communicate fluently in Swedish, both orally and in writing, to ensure that documentation complies with the Social Services Act and to collaborate effectively with colleagues and relatives.

We Consider It Meritorious If You Have:

• Experience in dementia care, knowledge, and skills to meet the specific needs of the residents.
• Training in elderly psychiatry.
• Experience with the Lifecare system, established documentation, and follow-up of care plans.

You have the ability to see the big picture for both users and the organization, are analytical and responsible, and can plan, organize, and prioritize your work effectively.
