Research Nurse in Endocrinology

About the position

At the Endocrinology reception in Huddinge, specialized investigation and treatment of acute and chronic endocrine conditions in hormone-producing organs such as the thyroid, pituitary, and adrenal glands are conducted. We also treat patients with type 1 diabetes and osteoporosis. Our research unit is closely linked to our reception with good collaboration.

With us, doctors, nurses, research nurses, nursing assistants, and administrative staff work together with dietitians.

We are now expanding our research in cardiometabolic and endocrine diseases, including diabetes, and are looking for a research nurse who wants to contribute to the development of future care for patients with hormonal and metabolic diseases.

As a research nurse, you combine clinical competence with advanced research work in a multidisciplinary team where the patient and evidence-based care are at the center. You play a key role in the initiation, planning, and implementation of clinical studies, as well as being responsible for data collection, documentation, and quality assurance according to GCP and applicable regulations.

The operation conducts academic clinical studies, industry-sponsored drug trials (phase II–IV), registry studies, and quality improvement projects in close collaboration with universities and colleges. The role also involves coordination with sponsors and partners, as well as participation in the development and implementation of research results in clinical practice.

Your immediate supervisor is the OVC at the section for diabetes and metabolism in Huddinge.

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • Licensed nurse with valid Swedish license.
  • Clinical experience as a nurse for at least 2–3 years.
  • Good knowledge of Swedish and English in speech and writing.
  • Basic computer skills and experience with documentation in journal systems.
  • Experience working in endocrinology/diabetes/medicine.

Meritorious:

  • Experience as a research nurse or study coordinator, or a pronounced interest in research.
  • Completed GCP training.
  • Experience in clinical research (both industry-sponsored and/or academic).
  • Experience with quality registers, research databases, and electronic CRF systems.
  • Master's degree or ongoing/completed doctoral education.
