Part-time Nurses Wanted for Our Pulmonary Care Unit

About the position
With us, you will meet patients in need of highly specialized care in pulmonary medicine. We have 18 beds and work in teams consisting of a nurse and a nursing assistant, with additional resources to support the team as needed. Each team is responsible for 6 patients. We collaborate closely with the department's doctors, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, dietitians, social workers, coordinators, and managers.
As a nurse, you will be responsible for care, medication administration, and medical technical equipment. You will learn advanced treatment and examination methods specific to pulmonary medicine such as handling and interpreting blood gases, various types of drainage treatments, non-invasive ventilation (NIV), high-flow oxygen therapy (Optiflow), transcutaneous measurement of carbon dioxide (TOSCA), and extended sampling for fluid accumulation in the lungs.
We investigate and treat major common diseases such as chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and asthma. We also assess respiratory failure and underventilation, initiate treatment with ventilators, long-term oxygen therapy, and prepare for lung transplants. We treat patients with pleuritis, pneumonia, empyema, and various inflammatory lung diseases such as sarcoidosis and pulmonary fibrosis.
We are looking for part-time nurses primarily for nights and weekends (day/evening).

Qualifications
Requirements:
- Licensed nurse
- At least one year of experience as a nurse
Meritorious:
- Experience working in a care unit and/or emergency care within somatic care.
