Our operational area includes geriatric and internal medicine inpatient and outpatient care, as well as palliative inpatient care and ASIH. In our clinics, we investigate and treat common major diseases such as cognitive impairment, osteoporosis, multi-morbid elderly, diabetes, stroke, and heart diseases. Our clinics also include the Diagnostic Center, where patients with unknown primary tumors or nonspecific symptoms of cancer or other serious illnesses are investigated.

At the Diagnostic Center, DC, we take care of patients referred from primary care or other healthcare providers where there is a suspicion of cancer or another serious illness. After a quick investigation, the patient will be referred to another healthcare provider. The Diagnostic Center is currently staffed by nurses and doctors. Organizationally, DC belongs to the Geriatrics-Internal Medicine operational area.

As a nurse at DC, you will be part of the team that coordinates the investigation process for patients. You will handle varied reception work and assist in examinations. Part of the job includes telephone advice and follow-up with patients who are registered at the clinic, as well as calling new patients via phone and digitally. An important part of your role at the Diagnostic Center is to provide psychosocial support to the patient and their relatives during the investigation. Patients' investigations are discussed daily during a round where the entire team of doctors and nurses is present.

Your qualifications:

Requirements:
- Licensed nurse with the right to practice within Swedish healthcare
- 5 years of experience as a nurse.

Meritorious:
- Professional experience working with severely ill patients and/or oncology patients.
- Experience in outpatient work

Employment form:

Permanent employment, full-time. Daytime, Monday to Friday.
