Case Officer Position in the Traffic Unit
Do you want a broad case officer position that includes regulatory authority while working in a pleasant and competent team?
The Traffic Unit is part of the Community Building Administration, and we work with traffic safety issues, public transport, traffic regulation, parking services, and the allocation of public spaces. In the transport case officer group, we are five case officers along with a team leader working with transport services, national transport services, school transport, and parking permits for the disabled.
Eskilstuna is growing and developing as a city. In the Traffic Unit, we are on an exciting development journey where we are reviewing our working methods, routines, and processes. We are currently working hard to digitize larger parts of our processes and hope that you want to join us on this journey.
The position is a temporary contract until 31/12-2026.
Our office is located in Värjan, which is centrally located in Eskilstuna and close to both the train and bus station.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
The case officer group you belong to works with four different operations governed by various laws and regulations that dictate decisions and rights to support. You will work in some of the operations such as transport services, national transport services, school transport, and parking permits for the disabled. You will investigate applications and make decisions according to laws and regulations. The work involves handling multiple tasks simultaneously, periodically managing a larger number of applications, and performing some administration.
You will have contact with our applicants and their relatives, primarily via email and phone. We also have close cooperation with other units within the administration and other operations within Eskilstuna municipality, which places high demands on clear and high-quality communication.
We offer a good introduction where you will learn one operational area at a time. There is also mentorship for new employees. Ongoing professional development within the areas of responsibility occurs regularly.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for someone with an academic degree, such as a social worker or other education that the employer considers equivalent and valuable. You have a very good ability to absorb information and communicate in Swedish, both orally and in writing. You are accustomed to working in various digital systems.
It is advantageous if you have experience in regulatory authority and experience working with some of the following laws: the Education Act, the Transport Services Act, the Traffic Ordinance, the Local Government Act, the Public Access to Information and Secrecy Act, and the Administrative Procedure Act. It is also advantageous if you have experience working in a system such as Viva and have previously written documents for courts. We would like you to be able to start the position as early as March 1.
You enjoy varied tasks, are quick and structured, while legal security and good quality are a given for you. You have no problem maintaining calm in pressured situations. You possess personal maturity, have good self-awareness, are flexible, open, positive, curious, and contribute to a good collaborative climate. Independent work suits you well, while you are unpretentious and want to be part of a team with an open atmosphere.
