Business Developer/Controller for Strängnäs Social Services

Exciting things are happening right now in the social services of Strängnäs! We are in the midst of a cultural journey – where trust, learning, and belief in the future are our guiding principles. We are developing working methods, leadership, and collaboration in line with the intentions of the new Social Services Act: more preventive work, strengthened participation, and a focus on the child's and family's own resources.

With us, you will help shape the future of social services – a social service that meets people with warmth, curiosity, and courage. The individual and family care sector is undergoing an important transformation, and we are now further strengthening the organization with a new strategic function.

We are looking for a strategic and development-oriented business developer/controller with a clear focus on follow-up, analysis, quality, and operational development – a function that will create structure, identify patterns, and contribute to the sustainable, equitable, and accessible development of social services.

RESPONSIBILITIES

This is a completely new role with great opportunities to influence and develop the mission. You will be a key person in the work of creating structure, following up, and analyzing the operations to contribute to a social service that is sustainable, equitable, and accessible. The role will serve as the link between operations, follow-up, and governance.

Your main tasks are:

  • Drive the development of individual-based and systematic follow-up.
  • Ensure that statistics and analysis are of high quality and provide valuable insights.
  • Identify patterns and trends that help us work more preventively and legally.
  • Create conditions for a working method that is evidence-based, equitable, and accessible to all.
  • Contribute to the development of methods that make home care both effective and sustainable.

In this role, you will be an important part of the development of our operations. You will work to deepen the individual-based and systematic follow-up and ensure that statistics and analysis are of high quality and comparable. By analyzing results, interventions, and effects over time, you will create valuable insights that help us make informed decisions. You will identify trends and risks with a focus on early and preventive interventions and produce decision-making materials that make a difference for both the management team and the board.

An important part of the assignment is to contribute to follow-up based on equity, gender equality, and equivalence. You will help develop working methods that make social services more accessible and reduce the need for late interventions. In short - you will help us create a social service that is sustainable, legally sound, and future-oriented.

You will work closely with the operations manager, management team, existing business developer, the overarching finance function, and other relevant support functions. The role is directly subordinate to the operations manager and is part of the management team.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who has:

  • A university degree in a relevant field for the role, such as political science, social science, social work, public administration, economics, or equivalent.
  • Several years of experience in work involving follow-up, analysis, statistics, and quality development.
  • Experience working within IFO and/or good knowledge of its assignments and regulations.
  • Good knowledge of the new Social Services Act and national recommendations for individual systematic follow-up within social services.
  • Very good proficiency in using IT tools to support work, such as the Office suite, etc.
  • Excellent ability to express yourself in Swedish, both spoken and written.

We consider it an advantage if you have prior experience in translating statistics into operational benefits.

Your personal qualities are important to us, and we will place great emphasis on them. You have a sharp analytical eye that allows you to see connections and draw well-founded conclusions. Collaboration is something you value, and you communicate clearly and pedagogically, building good relationships both internally and externally. You work systematically and structured with a great understanding of the mission of social services. Accuracy and quality are a natural part of your working method.

With a solution-oriented and unpretentious approach, you tackle challenges and find ways forward. You have the ability to act proactively, identify risks, and discover opportunities at an early stage. Your confidence and focus on quality make you an important part of the development of our operations.

Does this sound like an exciting assignment? Are you ready for a new challenge? We welcome your application today!
