About the assignment:

As a senior mechanical designer, you will work on the development of subsystems for advanced jet engines. In the design of components, you will work with various materials, such as high-strength steel, aluminum, and composites. The work includes both the development of new components and the improvement of existing solutions. To achieve the best results, you will work cross-functionally in close collaboration with production, testing, and other technical areas.

Responsibilities:

  • Design of load-bearing structures, control and installation details, and integration of electronic components

  • Prepare technical documentation such as drawings, models, specifications, and installation documents

  • Develop and improve subsystems for various modules of jet engines

  • Actively participate in project work and engage in technical discussions with both internal and external stakeholders

Who are you?

The role also involves taking clear technical responsibility, which requires a genuine interest in jet engines and thermodynamics.

We believe you have:

  • A degree in mechanical engineering, mechanics, product development, or similar

  • 5+ years of experience working as a mechanical designer

  • Good experience working in CAD environments

  • Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written

Meritorious:

  • Experience with the CAD tool Siemens NX and the PLM system Teamcenter/Active workspace

  • Experience in designing with composite materials or high-strength steel

  • Experience in additive manufacturing (AM/3D printing)

  • Good experience in production definition focusing on reviewing 2D drawings or 3D models

  • Previous experience in leadership roles, such as team lead, technical leader, or equivalent
