We are currently looking for several senior Data Engineers for our client within the defense industry, where you will work with AI, data platforms, and large-scale advanced data processing.

About the Role

As a Data Engineer, you will develop and enhance modern data platforms and data pipelines in a complex and security-critical IT environment. You will handle large volumes of data and work with both real-time data and batch processes, where high demands are placed on performance, robustness, and availability.

You will collaborate closely with other data engineers, AI engineers, and platform teams, taking an active part in defining architecture, technical standards, and working methods. The role involves both operational development work and strategic influence over how data is used and developed within the organization.

Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize scalable data platforms and data pipelines
• Work with batch and real-time data flows
• Design and implement solutions for data processing in production
• Ensure high quality, availability, and performance in data solutions
• Contribute to technical architecture and standardization
• Collaborate cross-functionally with AI, data, and platform teams
• Act as a mentor and contribute to knowledge sharing

Who We Are Looking For

• Several years of experience in data engineering in production environments
• Strong programming skills in Python, SQL, and/or Scala
• Experience with data platforms, ETL/ELT, and data pipelines
• Experience with cloud platforms and modern data infrastructure
• Experience with Linux-based environments
• Ability to work both operationally and strategically
• Good communication skills in Swedish and English

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP
• Experience with modern data architectures and scalable solutions
• Knowledge in orchestration and advanced data modeling
• Experience with principles such as Data Mesh and Data Products
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code and CI/CD for data platforms
