Mechanical Project Engineer – Drive technical projects from concept to delivery

Are you a technically curious person who enjoys keeping projects together and creating solutions together with others? Do you like having many contact points and want to work in a role where technology, business, and project management meet? Then you might be the project engineer we are looking for.

With us, you will become an important part of the Zeppelin team and take on a central role in ensuring that our projects are carried out efficiently and with high quality. You will work closely with sales, purchasing, workshop, logistics, and our customers – from the first technical solution to final delivery.

About the role

As a Project Engineer, you are responsible for the technical coordination throughout the entire project lifecycle. You ensure that the right technical solution is developed, that the project follows agreements and schedules, and that the customer has a smooth experience all the way.

The role is varied and combines technology, project management, economics, and customer contact. You will have significant personal responsibility while having support from knowledgeable colleagues and an engaged team.

Your responsibilities

In the role, you will among other things:

• Support the sales department with technical solutions, drawings, and documentation.
• Participate in customer meetings and contribute technical expertise.
• Ensure that order confirmations, technical specifications, and delivery times are correct.
• Plan the project execution together with sales, purchasing, and the workshop.
• Create work orders and provide technical support to production during the project.
• Coordinate handover to commissioning and support during startup.
• Plan material requirements and initiate purchases together with the purchasing department.
• Monitor project costs, handle deviations, and contribute to good project profitability.
• Be the customer's technical contact and answer questions during the project execution.
• Collaborate with suppliers regarding technical issues.
• Coordinate transports and ensure that delivery and export documentation is complete.
• Participate in project closure and contribute experiences for future improvements.

We are looking for you who

We believe you have a genuine interest in technology and thrive in a role where you get to combine structure, problem-solving, and collaboration. We believe you have:

• A university degree in mechanical engineering or another relevant technical education, or equivalent work experience.
• Experience in project management, project coordination, or technical sales.
• Ability to read, understand, and work with technical drawings and documentation.
• Good administrative skills and experience working in business and project systems.
• Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
• Knowledge of CAD for modeling and creating drawing materials.
