Experienced Automation Engineer in Control and Supervisory Systems

Are you Kungsbacka's new star with expertise in Arigo, Citect, Beckhoff and/or Regin?

Assemblin is growing within the service and public customer sectors and has a need for experienced individuals who can work independently and also value a great team spirit and a good corporate culture.

Do you want a key role within service/contracting, control, and building automation – with a focus on complex assignments, supervisory systems, and specialist competence in brands such as Arigo, Regin, Beckhoff and/or Citect? You will contribute with deep technical competence, secure customer dialogue, and responsibility for delivery. This is a role for you who wants to be more than just an executor – you want to be a technical cornerstone in the team.

Do you want to join our A-team?

We offer great opportunities to develop from where you are today. We want to hear more about you as a person, your competence, and where you want to go in your professional role. The branch currently consists of 24 employees working with building automation, and we look forward to welcoming you into the group.

The branch office is located in Kungsbacka with an office also in Halmstad, and assignments will be available in Greater Gothenburg, Kungsbacka, Härryda, and Northern Halland.

Your Assignment

In this role, you work with service, commissioning, troubleshooting, programming, and development of control and monitoring solutions in existing buildings. You will play an important role in strengthening the specialist competence within the team and contributing to Assemblin's continued growth within service, framework agreements, and long-term customer relationships.

You will work with customers within municipalities, regions, hospital environments, schools, elderly care facilities, housing, offices, and other socially important buildings. The assignments can be both planned projects and urgent, and often require the ability to quickly understand technical connections, prioritize correctly, and find sustainable solutions.

Examples of Responsibilities

  • Take specialist responsibility within control, service, commissioning, programming, and supervisory systems.
  • Work with troubleshooting and technical solutions in more complex service assignments.
  • Contribute competence within SCADA, BMS, PLC/DUC, and integration between building systems.
  • Support the team technically and be a secure knowledge bearer in assignments and customer dialogues.
  • Plan and drive own assignments with responsibility for delivery, self-checks, and quality.
  • Contribute to calculation, pricing, technical assessment, and solution proposals when needed.
  • Participate in building further on competence, working methods, and mentoring within the team.

Depending on your competence and professional experience, you may hold one or several of the roles in the team, which consists of project managers, commissioning technicians, control installers, programmers, and integrators.

Work Style

The role involves a combination of field work, office work, and the possibility to work from home. For some specialist assignments and system-related parts, the work may involve more time connected to office/project work, but the setup is determined by the assignment, customer, and your competence.

Obligatory joint meetings are held at a reasonable level, while the team is encouraged to have check-ins, experience sharing, and collaboration to create a strong sense of belonging even when the work is geographically dispersed.

Who are you?

You are experienced, independent, and confident in your technical competence. You like to solve problems, take responsibility, and create progress – but you are also team-oriented and happy to share your knowledge. You thrive in a role where you get to work with freedom under responsibility, close to the customer and close to colleagues.

You need to have a solution-oriented mindset, see opportunities, and want to be part of building something forward. The role suits you who have worked for several years within service, control, building automation, or adjacent technical environments and who now want to take the next step in a growing branch.

We believe you have

  • Several years of experience within building automation, control/regulation, service, commissioning, or programming.
  • Several years of experience with Arigo, Citect, Beckhoff and/or Regin.
  • Good understanding of electricity, electrical cabinets, electrical diagrams, and technical systems in buildings.
  • Knowledge within networking and communication between systems.
  • Experience of working independently towards customers and taking responsibility for the entire assignment.
  • Ability to plan your work, perform self-checks, and ensure delivery.
  • Communicative ability and confidence in dialogue with customers, project managers, technicians, and engineers.
  • Swedish and English in speech and writing.
  • Category B driver's license.

Meritorious Experience

  • You have worked with public contracts, municipalities, regions, hospitals, or larger building portfolios.
  • You have experience with supervisory systems and want to specialize further.

Perhaps you live in or near Kungsbacka, Onsala, Frillesås, Lindome, Varberg, Falkenberg, Halmstad, Laholm, or Gothenburg and want a strong technical employer close to you.

Why Assemblin?

  • You will join a business that is growing, taking new business, and has good order intake within service and building automation.
  • You get to be part of the next step for the branch in Kungsbacka, where service, control, and specialist competence are central.
  • You get great freedom under responsibility, present managers, and a team where belonging and collaboration are important.
  • You get the opportunity to both work independently and be a knowledge bearer for others.
