As a summer substitute in Elderly Care and Care for Persons with Disabilities, you make a difference for other people every day. Our mission is to provide good service to our seniors by activating, supporting, creating social contexts, and providing good care. We meet people where they are.

RESPONSIBILITIES

No two days are alike when you work with people. The tasks can range from common household chores (cleaning, laundry, shopping, cooking) to personal care (hygiene, dressing and undressing). Other common tasks may include accompanying clients on various outings and to different service agencies. You will be an important part of our clients' daily lives.

Working hours are scheduled for day and evening shifts, both weekdays and weekends, and there is also the possibility to work only nights. We are looking for someone who can work on a schedule for at least 4 weeks during the period of week 23-35. There will be opportunities to start a temporary position earlier in the spring, as well as good prospects for continued employment in the fall.

Elderly care is our largest operation with about 1,000 employees. Elderly care is spread throughout the municipality from central Oskarshamn to the countryside, for example, Påskallavik, Kristdala, and Figeholm.

The care for persons with disabilities has about 300 employees. This includes all care for people with various disabilities. Special accommodations, housing support (for people needing assistance in their own homes), short-term accommodation for children and youth, daily activities, and personal assistance are services included in this sector.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for many summer substitutes, and for some positions, healthcare education is required, but not for all positions to be filled. You should have a genuine commitment and interest in working with people. The tasks include some documentation, phone calls, and many personal contacts, so it is important that you master the Swedish language in both speech and writing. Your substitute position will begin with a good introduction.

It is an advantage if you have completed or are currently pursuing education in:

• Healthcare and Nursing Program
• Nursing Program
• Other relevant education

We are looking for someone who wants and can make a difference in the daily lives of others, who is cheerful and positive even in demanding situations.

The job requires that you can work day/evening/night as well as every other weekend.

We are looking for substitutes for:

• Home care, requirement: driver's license
• Special accommodations for the elderly
• Group homes (Care for Persons with Disabilities)
