Personal assistance is an intervention according to LSS (the Act on Support and Service for Certain Disabled Persons). As a personal assistant, you provide individual support and care to individuals who have been granted personal assistance because they need help with one or more basic needs. Each customer is unique, and your tasks will vary based on the customer's needs. You respect the customer's self-determination and privacy, and contribute to making everyday life run smoothly.

About the position

We are now looking for an assistant who wants to work with our soon-to-be 5-year-old boy. You who apply should preferably be a woman who is comfortable handling suction, tube feeding through PEG, monitoring breathing, and providing inhalations, or you are willing and interested in learning! We are looking for someone who loves children and has their heart in the right place. It is important to be attentive to adapt play and activities according to the boy's daily condition.

This is double assistance around the clock, which means you will be part of a large assistant group where it is important to collaborate well.

We are now looking for someone who matches the following:

• wants to work with a 5-year-old boy living with family in Huskvarna

• has the ability to empathize with someone else's situation and perspective

• loves children and preferably has experience working with them

• is positive and can see opportunities instead of obstacles

• is responsible

• can collaborate well

• can communicate in Swedish and understand English

It is also meritorious if you:

• have worked with children or youth with disabilities

• are a nursing assistant or have equivalent experience

Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.

Working hours, employment rate, and salary:

The current employment form is "As long as the assistance assignment lasts" and the position is 70%. The job involves working during the hours of 15-22 on a schedule that includes both weekdays and weekends.

The assistance shifts are scheduled during all hours of the day, weekdays and weekends. The shifts are distributed between 07:00-15:00, 15:00-22:00, and 22:00-07:00, and even the night shifts are active time for both assistants.

Fixed hourly wage according to agreement and other compensation is in accordance with collective agreements.

Start date

Immediately or according to agreement.

Being employed at Humana

A prerequisite for starting employment with us at Humana is that you can present valid ID and any documents that support your right to work in Sweden. To work as a personal assistant, you must be at least 18 years old.

According to legislation, we as employers are required to request a criminal record extract from all employees who will work as personal assistants for a child under 18 years old. Therefore, you need to present an extract from the police's criminal record before a potential employment. Further information will be provided if you proceed in the recruitment process.
