Child Secretary for the Foster Care Unit

Do you want to make a difference for children and young people and have you previously worked with foster care and authority exercise? We are now looking for two dedicated and knowledgeable child secretaries for the Foster Care Unit.
Your new job
The Foster Care Unit in Jönköping Municipality is in an expansive phase due to a reorganization and is now expanding with two permanent positions as child secretaries.
The Foster Care Unit works to support placed children and guide foster homes to ensure that living conditions are as safe and stable as possible for both children and foster homes. Jönköping Municipality invests in enhanced foster care, which includes increased support, additional training, and guidance for foster homes. Guiding Interaction (ICDP) and Signs of Safety are some of the tools we apply.
As the child's social secretary, you are the designated contact for the child, responsible for processing and following up on the child's case. You monitor the child's living situation and investigate necessary interventions according to SoL and LVU. Your tasks include child interviews, investigations and decisions, follow-ups, and reassessments of assistance according to Children's Needs in Focus (BBIC). You are responsible for ensuring that the child's rights and voice are respected in contact with people in the child's network and other authorities, with a particular focus on the child's best interests. You work closely with a foster care secretary in all cases.
Your qualifications
You are a trained social worker with several years of experience in authority exercise. Previous experience working with children, families, and foster homes is particularly meritorious. It is also an advantage to have knowledge of and previous experience with ICDP, Signs of Safety, BBiC, and MI.

Furthermore, you are confident in yourself and easily connect with others, enjoying working relationally with children, parents, and partners. For you, engagement, responsibility, and participation in our organizational development are important, and you are happy to share your knowledge. You have excellent skills in the Swedish language, both spoken and written.
A driving license is required for our operations, and you must be able to drive both manual and automatic vehicles.

The Foster Care Unit consists of over 40 employees, approximately half child secretaries and half foster care secretaries. You will have the support of four senior social secretaries, two unit managers, and three administrators. We are a great team that enjoys working together and has a good cohesion. Our office is located in Huskvarna City Hall. With us, you will have a job with exciting tasks and challenging assignments where you become part of the future of children and young people.
Good to know
In this recruitment, two permanent positions in Jönköping Municipality are being filled, full-time, with start dates according to agreement. A probationary period may be used.
Temporary positions may also be relevant in this recruitment.
