Personal Assistant Needed for 13-Year-Old Boy in Taberg
We are now looking for a wonderful person with a heart in the right place who wants to work as a personal assistant for our client, a 13-year-old boy living in Taberg. This is for you who are looking for a rewarding job – a part-time position that will give you both joy and experience.
About the Position:
Our client is a 13-year-old boy who lives with his family in Taberg. The boy has autism and an intellectual disability. He needs support in his daily life and during the activities that are part of it. During the day, the boy is at school without assistance, so you will work as a personal assistant only in the afternoons/evenings and on weekends. Tasks include personal care, support with communication, and assisting with various activities.
As a personal assistant, your workplace will be wherever our client is, which can be at home, at the swimming pool, by the lake, or in the forest. Some of the client's favorite activities include swimming and exploring nature – this boy rarely says no to a lovely walk in the woods among pines, cones, and animals!
Who Are We Looking For:
We are looking for someone with an interest in working pedagogically and motivationally. We believe that you are a stable person who meets your surroundings with security and positivity. You are good at adapting to different situations that arise and have a good initiative, which will be of great importance and value in our client's daily life. It is advantageous if you have previous experience with low-arousal responses and a pedagogical approach. A genuine interest in working with children and being a safe haven for support, comfort, and closeness is essential to fit into this role.
To be considered for the position, you must be smoke-free and have a good command of the Swedish language in both speech and writing. You cannot be allergic to chlorine or pets since swimming is involved, and there are both a cat and a dog in the home.
As a personal assistant, you will pick up the client from after-school care in Huskvarna every weekday (except during school breaks) in the afternoon. Therefore, a driver's license and access to a car are required.
What We Offer:
We offer an exciting and varied job with good employment conditions, where you will make a difference for someone else every day. Developing our staff's competencies is part of improving quality, and the personal assistant offers several training sessions each year to our employees. We want you to feel really good and hope for a lasting collaboration with you.
- Part-time position
- Working hours include 15:45-20:45 on weekdays and Saturdays around 09:00-16:00. Work is also available during school breaks, which may occur during the day.
- Start as soon as possible or as agreed
- You will have the opportunity for an introduction and to shadow an experienced assistant
If you have questions, please contact team leader Sandra Ekdahl at [email protected] (mailto:[email protected]).
Selection and interviews are ongoing.
