The position is a 12-month temporary contract with a permanent position in the area of social assistance at the base.

Your new job

The FUT Officer works closely with the caseworkers who investigate the right to economic assistance through consultations, guidance, and information efforts to the area's units. Together, we work strategically to detect and prevent inaccuracies. Your tasks include investigating whether incorrect payments have occurred, deciding on recovery claims, and, if applicable, reporting suspected benefit fraud to the police. You will also follow up on repayments of recovery claims and initiate compensation claims. The position involves, apart from internal collaboration with caseworkers within economic assistance, also collaboration with several authorities such as the police, the Public Prosecution Authority, the Social Insurance Agency, the Tax Agency, and more.

Your qualifications

You have a degree in social work or another equivalent academic higher education of at least 180 credits that the employer deems appropriate. The education must be completed and approved. You have several years of professional experience in investigative work and social work. Previous professional experience in case management within social assistance or social services with authority is an advantage.

It is of great importance that you have a good ability to work independently. You must also be able to sort/prioritize what needs to be done both in the short and long term. To manage the tasks, you need to have a structured way of thinking, place a high value on legal certainty, and be accustomed to reasoning based on applicable legislation. We also want you to have good computer skills and a very good command of the Swedish language, both in speaking and writing, as well as the ability to comprehend written information. You should be interested in actively developing the operations.

To thrive in the role, we are looking for someone with high social competence and communication skills, where attentiveness, clarity, and engagement are qualities that describe you. You have an inclusive approach with the ability to follow up on results and explain pedagogically to different target groups.

A valid driver's license (Category B) is a requirement for the position.

The recruitment concerns 1 permanent position, full-time, with a start date of June 26, 2026. The permanent position is placed in the area of social assistance with an initial placement in FUT for 12 months. Selection is ongoing.
