What does a personal assistant do?

Working as a personal assistant means you are a support in the daily life of a person with a disability. You help with everything related to life – personal care, household chores, cooking, and accompanying them to activities, work, or school. Your workplace is wherever the client is, which means that no two days are the same. It is a job that gives you both experience and insight, and can be the start of a future in healthcare and social services.

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for someone who is secure, responsible, and attentive. You need to be able to work independently and adapt to different situations. Education or experience in healthcare and social services is an advantage, but the most important thing is your personal suitability.

The summer job extends from June to August, and we hope you can work most of the period. Working hours vary between day, evening, weekend, night shifts, and awake nights, so flexibility is a great advantage. There is an opportunity to start as a substitute already now, and in many cases, you can continue working with us even after the summer.

At Kooperativet Olja, you will receive a thorough introduction with shadowing and competence-enhancing e-learning. You will always have a present supervisor who ensures you receive support and a good working environment. We want both you and the client to thrive and feel good in each other's company.

Criminal record check

Go to "To e-service for record extract" and log in with Bank-ID. Choose the form “Control of your own information in the criminal record”.

To work with children under 18 years old, you need to order an additional extract from the police's criminal record. This extract can be sent to you by post or to your digital Kivra mailbox – which gives you faster access to the extract.
