JOB DESCRIPTION

In disability care, we work with children, youth, and adults covered by LSS (Act on Support and Service for Certain Disabled Persons). The work involves providing support in daily life and contributing to a safe, meaningful, and independent existence.

Short-term Care

You will work with children and youth with various disabilities. The tasks include daily support, activities, personal hygiene, cooking, and cleaning. Challenging behaviors may occur and are met with a calm and respectful approach. The work is active and takes place both independently and together with colleagues. Working hours: All hours of the day, every day of the week.

Group and Service Housing

You provide support to individuals with physical and mental disabilities in their homes and local environment. The work is social and pedagogical and aims to strengthen the individual's independence. Personal care and daily routines are included. Working hours: All hours of the day, every day of the week.

Personal Assistance

As a personal assistant, you provide support in daily activities, during activities, and in household chores as well as personal hygiene. Working alone is common. Working hours: All hours of the day, every day of the week.

Daily Activities

You provide pedagogical and social support in the users' daily activities and contribute to meaningful employment. Working hours: Daytime, Monday to Friday.

Companion

You support users in participating in activities outside the home, such as walks, leisure activities, or cultural experiences. Working hours: Day, evening, and weekend.

QUALIFICATIONS

Requirements

• At least 18 years old
• Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written
• Ability to document according to the requirements of the organization
• Comfortable working with both women and men
• A police record extract is required upon employment

Desirable (depending on the position)

• Educational background in pedagogy, nursing, or as a care assistant
• Experience working in disability care or elderly care
• Experience in dementia care, short-term accommodation, or personal assistance
• Training in low-arousal responses
• Delegated care tasks
• Driver's license
• Ability to ride a bike

Personal Qualities

Great emphasis is placed on your personal qualities, such as having a good view of people, being attentive, empathetic, responsible, and flexible. You enjoy working both independently and in a team.
