The Gynecology Clinic at Kungälv Hospital has received an expanded mandate and is now looking for more skilled and dedicated staff.

In the fall of 2026, we plan to move into new, modern, and fresh premises, which gives us fantastic opportunities to further develop our operations.

In the new premises, you will have the opportunity to help develop the outpatient surgical operations and contribute to high-quality, patient-centered care in an engaged team.

We are now looking for a specialist doctor with commitment and joy in work for our gynecology clinic at Kungälv Hospital. Our clinic is a family-like unit with a strong patient focus and teamwork. The results from the employee survey showed a very high score regarding satisfaction and community.

We want to offer quality care in a safe and welcoming environment for our patients. The clinic is part of Hospitals in the West, which currently has four gynecology clinics, providing good opportunities to influence the development of outpatient gynecology in and around the Gothenburg area.

Your Responsibilities

The four hospitals in the administration, Kungälv Hospital, Angered Local Hospital, Alingsås Hospital, and Högsbo Local Hospital, have a close collaboration and exchange with each other. This means that you may also work at other hospitals in the Hospitals in the West administration when it comes to surgical assignments.

As a specialist doctor at the Gynecology Clinic, Kungälv Hospital, you will:

• perform gynecological investigations, treatments, and outpatient surgeries at the clinic
• have the opportunity to influence routines and working methods at the clinic
• provide patient-centered care and support to women in various life stages
• participate in the development of our clinic and the operations within Hospitals in the West.
• collaborate with a team of engaged and competent midwives, nursing assistants, and medical secretaries.

Qualifications

You have a Swedish medical license with specialist competence in gynecology.

We would like you to have experience in colposcopy, loop excision, and standard gynecological day surgery procedures, but this is not a requirement.

Good knowledge of Swedish (spoken and written) is a requirement. Additional language skills are an advantage.

We place great importance on personal qualities such as flexibility, humility, and good collaboration skills. In order for us to continue developing the operations together, we see that you are secure in your role, goal-oriented, and have an open mind. We also appreciate an interest in operational development and openness to innovative thinking.

Conditions

The working hours are scheduled during daytime Monday to Friday. There is an opportunity to work evening hours on certain days.
