If you have a burning interest in mechanical design and want to join a globally leading company, then Mycronic is for you!

ABOUT THE POSITION

Mycronic is a global high-tech company with the vision of being the most reliable partner to the creators of tomorrow's electronics, whose innovative solutions have developed and manufactured machines for electronics and display manufacturing for over 50 years. Mycronic continues to grow within a wide range of industries, and the Pattern Generator (PG) division has a unique market position as the world's leading supplier of mask writers for the production of advanced photomasks, which are in turn used in the manufacturing of high-resolution displays and microprocessors. All high-resolution displays you see, whether it's a TV, phone, tablet, Apple Watch, etc., have Mycronic's machines as part of the manufacturing process – and it is the development of these machines that you will work on. You will belong to a team of about 20 people, both junior and more experienced employees, and report to Anna-Karin Drake, Group Manager PG Mechanical Design. In addition to your immediate team, you will also collaborate with other engineering disciplines such as mechatronics, optics, electronics, production technology, and project managers.

You are offered

  • The opportunity to specialize in mechanical design and work on the development of some of the world's most advanced products.
  • At Mycronic, people from different parts of the world, of various ages and experiences work together, which is seen as a strength. Here, you become part of a company with an open corporate culture where we help and believe in each other, and for Mycronic, diversity is not just a competitive advantage but also an important piece of the puzzle for an innovative and rewarding work environment.
  • Work in a multinational market-leading company that still retains its entrepreneurial spirit.

Academic Work is responsible for the recruitment process, but you will be employed directly by Mycronic.

You will be responsible for understanding the mechanics, delivering new or improving older designs, and contributing to finding solutions that generate the best performance. The role may also, if you are interested, involve travel to Mycronic's other offices or customers around the world. This is a role for you who want to specialize in design, where you have the opportunity to become one of Mycronic's experts in a specific design area over time.

Furthermore, you will…

  • Work on mechanical design of both existing and new products
  • Work on verification and documentation, ensuring that your design meets the requirements
  • Participate in specification and requirement reviews
