Project Manager at the Swedish Social Insurance Agency

As a project manager at the Swedish Social Insurance Agency, you are expected to collaborate, prioritize quality, and have a desire to develop together with us.

Project Manager, Agile Teams, and Responsibility

We work exclusively in agile teams with a strong focus on personal responsibility and the desire to continuously improve our operations and the service to the Swedish Social Insurance Agency's customers. As a member of agile teams, you are expected to be good at collaborating with open communication where the team's goals come first.

As a Project Manager, your main task is to lead the project work so that the project delivers on time, within budget, and with the right quality, and you are responsible for planning and staffing the project in close dialogue with the project owner. Together with the Product Owner and the team, you have overall responsibility for all aspects concerning new development, maintenance, and lifecycle management.

Your task is to ensure that all project participants have the competence, information, and support required for the work. You are also responsible for following up and evaluating the assignments.

We conduct our development with agile principles and place great importance on adapting project management according to these principles. The role of project manager is a leadership role, and it requires the ability to lead and drive initiatives independently.

We are looking for someone who

  • has a university degree or equivalent experience and qualifications
  • has at least four years of documented experience as a project manager
  • has at least five years of documented experience in IT within a government agency
  • acts on their own initiative and takes responsibility for achieving good results
  • is confident and trustworthy, even in stressful situations
  • has a systematic and meticulous working method
  • has good leadership skills
  • works to achieve results with high quality
  • collaborates effectively with others to achieve common goals
  • has good communication skills, both orally and in writing.

It is a merit if you

  • have knowledge of Care Allowance, Additional Cost Compensation, Car Support, Infection Carrier Compensation, and Close Relative Allowance
  • have experience with project management models, preferably Pejl, which is the model we apply
  • have a good understanding of the Swedish Social Insurance Agency's mission.

Two positions, permanent, full-time, with start as soon as possible. A probationary period may be applicable. In accordance with the Swedish Social Insurance Agency's security guidelines, background checks will be conducted in this recruitment. Place of employment: Karlskrona.
