Project Engineer for Leading Swedish High-Tech Defense and Security Company

Job Description

The role of Project Engineer is a key function in the planning phase where you work alongside designers to create robust, safe, and sustainable designs for both submarines and surface vessels. You will be responsible for developing construction methods, manufacturing documentation, and technical documentation that ensures efficient processes and good quality throughout the product lifecycle.

The work involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams and a wide variety of technical issues. As a Project Engineer, you will be an important link between design and production, adapting solutions to production conditions and contributing to the development of methods, material choices, and processes.

Summary:

  • Ensure quality and clarity in drawing documentation
  • Adapt designs to production conditions and material choices
  • Participate in new construction and modernization projects and work throughout the product lifecycle

About the Candidate

For the role of Project Engineer, we are looking for someone with an engineering background and a clear technical drive. You thrive in a role where you collaborate closely with different functions and take responsibility for driving the work forward with structure and analysis. You have a natural curiosity for technical issues, a humble approach to contributing to the team, and the ability to both take initiative and follow up on details.

Requirements:

  • Post-secondary education in mechanical engineering, mechatronics, production engineering, industrial economics, or equivalent
  • Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written
  • The position requires you to undergo and be approved according to the Security Protection Act, which requires Swedish citizenship and a clean criminal record

Desirable:

  • Experience from the marine industry, process industry, or manufacturing industry
  • Experience with larger and complex development projects
  • Knowledge in technical project management, design, or production documentation
  • Experience with CAD and reading drawings
