Nytida Mjörnviksholm is beautifully located by Lake Mjörn on the outskirts of Alingsås. Here we have 39 short-term placements for individuals aged 21 and older with no upper age limit. Our residents have some form of psychiatric issues and sometimes co-occurring substance abuse.

Together with the residents, we formulate an Implementation Plan based on the assignment from the placing municipality. We have a holistic view and focus on both strengths and resources as well as challenges and needs. We work with and provide support to create and establish sustainable routines in everyday life, such as regarding food, exercise, daily rhythm, and meaningful activities.

At Nytida Mjörnviksholm, we work in teams consisting of support staff and nurses. During placements with us, residents can be offered, among other things, relapse prevention (ÅP), Motivational Interviewing (MI), and medical treatment. We provide support in everyday life and, at the request of the placing caseworkers, we assess and map the residents' needs for continued social interventions. We strive for a balanced gender distribution and see diversity as a strength.

About the roleIn the role of support staff, you will start from the individual needs and wishes of the residents and provide support in daily life based on a pedagogical approach. Together with other colleagues during evenings and nights, you will work towards creating a safe and meaningful situation for the client. You will support and guide in areas such as personal care, meals, medication management, and safety-enhancing measures such as conversations. An important part of the work is to stimulate and motivate the resident to develop a functioning daily rhythm and to find good habits to achieve this. Your tasks will also include keeping our fine premises in good condition through cleaning efforts. Your work will also involve documenting based on implementation plans.

Your experience and knowledge

You have at least a high school education in health and care, behavioral science, or another equivalent education. It is advantageous if you have experience working with the target group. We prefer that you are structured and methodical in your working approach. You should have the ability to meet the client in a calm, safe, and individually adapted manner. You have good computer skills and experience in documentation. Good knowledge of Swedish in both spoken and written form is a requirement.

A driver's license is required.

The position is for hourly employment.
