Hagaberg offers studies for adult participants who are completing their qualifications in primary and secondary school courses, with opportunities to specialize in areas such as creativity, music, care and nursing, and Bible studies.

Among our fantastic course participants are those who need extra help and support to succeed in their studies and participate in the school's communal activities. Our participant supporters are on site to provide additional support, increase security, and assist with both academic and practical challenges.

Become a part of our team! As a participant supporter, you will be part of the participant support team at Hagaberg under the leadership of our deputy principal and special educator. You will work closely with our teachers and participate in staff meetings.

Job Responsibilities

Your role in the classroom is to work with our course participants through individual support or as support for a group in various subjects, in consultation with the teaching teacher. For some of our participants, English, mathematics, and Swedish are particularly challenging. Therefore, it is important that you feel confident in core subjects at the high school level.

Working Hours

Most lessons take place between 08:45 and 14:45, Monday to Friday. Some days we have staff meetings from 15:00 to 17:00. If necessary, we would like to offer our course participants study support even outside of lesson hours. The position is therefore at least 80%, but can be extended to full-time.

We are currently looking for participant supporters for the spring term. The employment is temporary until 2026-05-29, with a possibility of extension.

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for someone who has completed high school education and has good knowledge of English, mathematics, and Swedish at the high school level. You find it easy to meet people of different ages and backgrounds, and you have excellent collaboration skills. It is an advantage if you have previously worked with similar tasks in a school environment and/or have studied at an adult education center.

Hagaberg Folk High School is centrally located in Södertälje and has been a meeting place offering education and learning for adults since 1910. The folk high school has a close collaboration with the principal EFS (a missionary movement within the Church of Sweden) and the local missionary association. The school offers a rich course selection as well as a restaurant, conference activities, and a hostel.
