Do you want to help develop our camp operations while growing in your leadership role and helping your staff improve? We are looking for a camp manager with experience in leading and developing staff who are passionate about working with children.

Camp work involves round-the-clock operations, and working at camp means that you will live at your workplace, at the campgrounds in Värmland, during the summer. You will share accommodation with your colleagues while you work, approximately 1-2 camp managers during the summer.

Utepedagogik Sverige AB runs camp activities at several campgrounds for children and youth aged 9-16, focusing on adventure and outdoor education. The cornerstones of Utepedagogik Sverige AB's pedagogical camp operations are: safety, quality, security, and community, as well as having trained adults with a broad competence serving as good role models. Job responsibilities

As the camp manager at Uddens camp, you are responsible for all operations, staff, and participants aged 9-13. Your task is to organize, support, delegate, and plan so that the operations meet the goals set within the company. You guide camp leaders by providing them with the conditions to develop in their roles to create the best possible camp experience for the participants. During a camp period of 11-14 days, 12-14 camp leaders work and are responsible for the stay of 45-50 camp participants.

Who are we looking for?

Working at camp requires you as a camp manager to be able to lead and delegate, work efficiently and structured, and guide staff. Furthermore, you should be able to give and receive feedback, have good foresight, be honest about your strengths and weaknesses, and be accustomed to administrative work. You are a natural leader, communicative, have social competence, and know how to motivate your team to continue developing the operations and themselves. You should feel comfortable working outdoors as you will spend 90% of your waking hours in an outdoor environment and be confident in leading and informing a larger group of participants and leaders.

To thrive in the role, you should be self-assured and have a drive to develop both personally and as a camp manager.

Experience:

· At least one year of experience in leading

· Educational background

· Experience working with children and youth aged 9-16

Employment conditions

The position is a full-time job. You must be able to attend our training days on-site at the campgrounds in Värmland from April 30 to May 3, and June 6 to 11. During the summer, you need to be able to work and thus be away from home for at least six weeks during the period from June 12 to August 16.
