Workplace Description

In August 2023, Vega School opened – a unique project for Haninge Municipality where the culture and leisure administration and the education administration work closely together in these facilities to create opportunities for broader learning.

Vega School is located in Vegastaden; a newly built area just south of Stockholm with a commuter train station right next to the school. In addition to facilities for school, preschool, and preschool class to grade 9, the building also includes a full-size sports hall, public library, youth center, culture school, orchestra hall, and a café. The school's premises are spacious, modernly furnished, and contain everything required for high-quality teaching. When fully built, the school accommodates about 750 students in grades F-9, after-school care, and an adapted primary school. During the day, our facilities are used by the school. After school hours, the culture school, associations, private individuals, and other actors conduct activities in the premises. The culture and leisure administration and the education administration staff will thus collaborate closely in these facilities to create opportunities for broader learning.

You will have a great opportunity to influence your future workplace.
