Assistant Nurse to the Surgical Clinic

At the surgical clinic, you will experience the breadth of surgery, which includes everything from emergency care to end-of-life care.

As an assistant nurse with us, you will work to provide personal care to patients, document vital parameters, and perform tasks such as venipuncture, catheter placement, and wound dressings. You will collaborate around the patient with various professional categories with the goal of delivering good and safe care together. We work based on the nursing concept of patient-centered care. At the surgical clinic, you will have a varied job where you are given the opportunity to develop at your own pace with the help of both nurses and doctors. There are also good opportunities for further education in surgery.

About You

We are looking for someone who is a trained assistant nurse and has a strong interest in people. Experience in the profession is an advantage. As a person, we want you to be positive, engaged, and responsible. You also have a strong desire to be involved in the development of the department. It comes naturally to you to collaborate and work patient-centered both individually and in a team. Furthermore, we see that you are a calm person with a good ability to prioritize and make decisions. You also need to have good knowledge of the Swedish language in both spoken and written form. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability. This position will be filled on an ongoing basis, and the position may be filled before the application deadline.

The surgical clinic conducts a broad operation in general surgery with a full emergency surgical assignment. Work on the wards is carried out in three care teams consisting of nurses and assistant nurses who together are responsible for a smaller group of patients. The clinic is constantly working with various improvement programs to develop care to be as good as possible.
