At Norlandia Elderly Care, we are looking for care assistants or nursing assistants who want to work full-time/part-time throughout or part of the summer at Haga Ängs elderly home in Västerås.

As a care assistant or nursing assistant, you are a valuable key player who contributes to ensuring that our residents have a safe and meaningful life in their later years. We always start from the residents' wishes and abilities and focus on their strengths. As a care assistant or nursing assistant, you are responsible for providing dignified and good care based on the individual needs of the elderly.

Typical tasks may include assisting with daily care, medication management, documentation, support during activities, serving meals, and cleaning in the residents' apartments and common areas. You will be involved in everything from educational care moments to enjoyable activities with the residents. A very exciting job, indeed!

Haga Äng is a modern elderly home that offers care for individuals within elderly psychiatry and those with dementia (cognitive disorders). The facility consists of 62 apartments spread over four floors and is designed to create safety and comfort for our residents.

We offer a stimulating environment with activity rooms, a gym, a salon, baths, and sensory rooms, providing opportunities for both physical activity and relaxation. The elderly home is located in the quiet area of Malmaberg, close to bus connections, walking paths, green areas, shops, and restaurants.

We are looking for someone with a big heart and a desire to make a difference. We prefer that you enjoy working with people and have a strong sense of service. You should also be able to collaborate easily with others and have the ability to be flexible and attentive when needed.

• It is advantageous if you have a nursing assistant education (or equivalent education) of at least 1350 points.

• Previous experience in elderly care is highly meritorious.

• If you have had or currently have medication delegation, we see it as a plus.

• Good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written, is required.

• We prefer that you have good computer skills and experience with documentation.

Employment type: Summer temporary position

Extent: Full-time, part-time, or hourly employment

Start date: June, July, and August 2026

We apply individual salary setting and have a collective agreement. Interviews are conducted on an ongoing basis, and the position may be filled before the application deadline. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.

Before a possible employment, you must be able to present a criminal record extract. You also need to prove that you have the right to work in Sweden by showing that you have citizenship within the EU/EES or a valid work permit.
