If you are a controller looking to grow in an ambitious international company - then we have the role for you! We are now looking for a Project Controller who wants to work closely with operations, in an advisory role and enjoys working in a team. Do you feel addressed? Then you should read on!

Columbus is a Scandinavian IT consulting company with an international presence. In the role of Project Controller, you will work with our business areas and have contact with colleagues in several different countries.

The position is located at our headquarters on Drottninggatan in Stockholm.

Responsibilities

As a Project Controller, you will be part of our Project Control team consisting of four people and you will report to Liz Sakota - who will be your closest manager. You will be responsible for one or more smaller business areas and work closely with our project managers in the ongoing financial follow-up of the projects. Together, you will ensure good control, transparency, and quality, and you will contribute with analysis and decision-making.

The role includes project follow-up, project analysis, and support during project setup. You will ensure that projects are correctly set up in the systems, conduct ongoing quality checks of data, and participate in tasks related to monthly closing. Ad hoc analyses and advisory support to project managers are a natural part of the daily work.

You will primarily work in D365 Project Operations and Power BI. Project Operations has been implemented with us for several years and is a well-established part of the business. In this role, you will be involved in further developing working methods, reporting, and system usage.

In addition to your immediate team and project managers, you will also collaborate with business area managers and Business Finance Partners.

What we can offer

With us, you will have the opportunity to influence both your own role and the development of the controller function. Columbus is growing, and we continuously work on developing our working methods, system support, and reporting. The controller team has a clear ambition to work more proactively and function as an advisory partner to the organization. You will have good opportunities for personal and professional development, and there is also the possibility to grow further within Columbus and explore other areas over time. We offer, in addition to a workplace with a turnover lower than the industry average, among other things: 30 days of vacation, wellness allowance of 5000 SEK/year, private pension insurance equivalent to ITP1, and health insurance.

What is the best thing about working at Columbus?

"Partly that we are a tight team located in different countries and cities, but that we work and develop together. Working with people in other parts of the world allows me to learn about other countries and cultures, which is a very exciting exchange. A plus is that it also means speaking a lot of English in everyday life, which I find enjoyable!

We also have great cohesion in the team. There is always a colleague to bounce ideas off, and with our different backgrounds, we complement each other's knowledge. It is also an organization that has a high ceiling; it is easy to communicate and reach out to the managers, and the entire organization is very transparent" - Liz Sakota

Who are you?

You are curious, analytical, and thrive in an advisory role where you can take responsibility and contribute insights that create value. You have a strong interest in data, systems, and analysis and use this to identify improvements and drive development.

You are motivated by working in an international environment with different cultures and easily collaborate with both colleagues and stakeholders globally. As a person, you are social, service-oriented, and communicative - you dare to take initiative, ask questions, and bring new perspectives.

We are a company in development, and you thrive in a dynamic environment where not everything is fully finished. You enjoy thinking outside the box, work solution-oriented, and take your own initiatives. You find it easy to adapt to new situations and tasks and feel secure in change.Qualifications:

  • Education in economics, preferably a master's degree in economics or business administration

  • At least 3 years of experience in finance, including 2 years of experience as a controller in the private sector

  • Fluent in Swedish and English, both spoken and written

It is a merit if you have at least one year of experience in project accounting.

Application and next steps

With us, you can apply with your LinkedIn and/or CV, and you do not need to fill out any long questionnaires. In our recruitment process, we always take references and conduct a background check before employment or possibly before an offer is made. If you have questions, please contact Alexander Tonelli. Interviews will be held continuously.

After the recruitment process is completed, we will send a question about your experience as a candidate. It only takes a second to answer the question and helps us improve our recruitment process.
