The Meal Service is looking for a chef for the kitchen area at Tanumskolan.

The position is a temporary role at 80 percent from 2026-03-09 to 2027-06-30.

We strive to serve nutritious and delicious food! We are looking for someone who wants to engage with us in developing the kitchen at Tanumskolan. We follow the guidelines of the Swedish Food Agency regarding food for children in preschool, students in elementary school, and food for the elderly.

Responsibilities

The role of the chef involves working with preparations, self-control, cooking, and tasting. You will also order goods, approve invoices electronically, as well as wash dishes and clean. The job requires active participation in the operation to ensure that guests receive the positive dining experience they can expect. As a chef with us, you have good knowledge of special diets and ensure that the laws and regulations of the operational area are followed. You perform all tasks that may occur in a kitchen, which also means that you can handle and taste the food products used.

Qualifications

Requirements for the chef position include:

• High school diploma from the Restaurant and Food Program with a focus on large kitchens or chef training, or adult education to chef with at least 1400 points.
• Work experience in cooking within large kitchens/restaurants for at least 3 years.

• You have good collaboration skills and are service-oriented
• You are stress-resistant, flexible, and have good organizational skills, and can take initiative and drive the work forward both in groups and independently
• You have good communication skills
• You look forward to participating with students, care recipients, and customers

To succeed in the role, you need to have good knowledge of special diets. Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written, is also required. Since you may need to travel to different parts of the operation, a driver's license is a requirement.

Conditions

Vacation position, monthly salary, and other employment benefits according to the applicable collective agreement. If necessary, you may be placed in other kitchens.
