Our department conducts highly specialized surgery for colorectal and upper gastrointestinal diseases. The reason may be an oncological diagnosis, but also acute surgical diagnoses that require a shorter hospital stay. Currently, we have 18 beds, but our goal is to grow a little more.

In our unit, we actively work on improvement efforts and want to be part of the development of care both within our unit and our area of operation (VO). Here, knowledgeable and dedicated employees from various professions work together, and our goal is to provide patient-centered and value-creating care to our patients together. As a nursing assistant, you will participate in care rounds where we focus on the patient. This is an exciting job that provides the best conditions for our patients.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a nursing assistant with us, you will work in a dynamic care department, where you are responsible for patients' personal hygiene, mobilization, and nutrition. Your tasks include medical checks, wound care, sampling, stoma care, and patient monitoring.

To assist us in the teams, we have, among others, service hosts, receptionists, stoma responsible nursing assistants, dietitians, municipal coordinating nursing assistants, staffing assistants, administrators with managerial support assignments, and placement coordinators. We work in newly renovated and fresh premises with modern technology. All our patients stay in single rooms with their own toilet and shower.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who is a trained nursing assistant and meets the requirements of the National Board of Health and Welfare for protected professional titles, regardless of whether you studied under previous or current program structures. You also have knowledge and/or experience in emergency care/healthcare. Good language skills in Swedish, both spoken and written, are a requirement. If you have experience in similar work, we consider it an advantage.

When it comes to you as a person, you are collaborative and have a good attitude towards both colleagues and patients. You are responsible, structured, and have the ability to plan your work according to what is of the highest priority at the moment. Additionally, you enjoy working in a group and can maintain a high pace. Of course, we also hope that you, together with us, will contribute to a good working atmosphere and brighten the days with a laugh or two. We are keen to find the right person for the position and therefore place great importance on personal suitability.
