We at the child and youth habilitation focus on children and young people aged 0–18 with permanent disabilities and their families. The children and young people may have movement disabilities, autism spectrum disorders, and/or intellectual disabilities. Our operations are based on a cross-professional, child- and family-centered approach, which means that the family has full participation in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of the interventions.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

In the role of nurse with us, you will work both independently and in a team. You will meet children, young people, and their families during your own appointments together with other professionals, as well as over the phone, through digital contacts, or in group activities. You will also work with medical advice, treatment, and follow-up, where important areas include nutrition, incontinence, sleep, pain, puberty development, and relationships. Additionally, knowledge and education regarding the current diagnosis are included in your work. You contribute medical knowledge to the teamwork around the children and young people.

QUALIFICATIONS

We welcome you as a licensed nurse with the authority to practice within Swedish healthcare. Language skills in Swedish corresponding to at least level C1 according to the Council of Europe’s scale are a requirement for the position. Since there are travel requirements in the position, a valid B driver's license is also required.

It is meritorious if you have further education in health and medical care for children/youth, work experience in habilitation, and/or experience working with children and young people with disabilities.

The person we are looking for is driven and responsible with good communication skills towards both patients and colleagues. You are confident in your professional role and have a good ability to both collaborate and work independently. Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability.
