The operation consists of advanced home healthcare (ASIH) with responsibility for patient care around the clock but may also include other targeted palliative or curative measures. Within ASIH, we collaborate with the municipalities of Hässleholm, Perstorp, and Osby. Additionally, there is a joint palliative care department for ASIH Hässleholm and Kristianstad located in Kristianstad.

Palliative care is relieving care when the disease can no longer be cured. The treatment focuses on preventing and alleviating symptoms and supporting relatives. We are responsible for specialized palliative care in Northeast Skåne. There are no restrictions on diagnosis or age; the need for specialized palliative care is guiding. We work in teams consisting of doctors, nurses, nursing assistants, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, social workers, dietitians, and medical secretaries.

The position is a part-time employment where we are looking for someone who wants to work extra.

RESPONSIBILITIES

As a nurse with us, you will perform advanced home healthcare and work in a multidisciplinary team where the goal of care is to achieve the best possible quality of life, among other things, through collaboration regarding the symptoms that the patient is troubled by. This means addressing the patient's physical, psychological, social, and existential needs and providing support to relatives. You will lead and actively participate in planning the patient's care together with other professionals, working with a person-centered approach and considering the entire life situation.

You will receive an individualized orientation. We follow an introduction program developed at the unit, and after completing the orientation, you will have mentorship where you receive support from an experienced colleague in palliative care, according to your needs. We value development work and continuing education for both new hires and experienced staff.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who is confident in their professional role and has the patient in focus, which means you have the ability to see the patient as an individual and their needs. We see that you are willing to share your knowledge, engagement, and positive attitude and contribute to a good work environment. We all help each other and collaborate to achieve the best care quality for patients and support for their relatives. A willingness to be involved in our development work is highly valued. Since part of the work involves support and conversations, it is important that you are communicative and can meet people on different levels. Furthermore, you have a flexible approach and can prioritize between different tasks when the work pace is high.

To thrive with us, we believe you enjoy working in a team and have good collaboration skills. The operation is currently in a phase of development and establishment, which means that increased flexibility and openness regarding tasks are valued as we see the need to revise tasks to further utilize the right competence for the right tasks. We are keen to find the right person/people for the position and therefore place great emphasis on personal suitability.

Regarding formal requirements, we welcome you as a licensed nurse with permission to practice within Swedish healthcare. Language skills in Swedish at least corresponding to level C1 according to the Council of Europe's level scale are a requirement. A valid B driver's license is a requirement for the position. We would like you to have several years of experience as a nurse, and if you have specialist training in oncology and/or palliative care, it is a merit.
