We are now looking for three driven care assistants for our care home Munkaljungbygården in a relatively newly established professional role as team leader. We offer a varied job at our Silver-certified home focused on dementia care. The home has 40 places located on one floor in central Munka Ljungby, close to scenic areas, public transport, and the center. In addition to care staff, coordinators, unit managers, nurses, and a rehab team consisting of physiotherapists and occupational therapists work on-site.

We offer a permanent position as a care assistant with the additional role of team leader. The assignment lasts for one year with the possibility of extension and is associated with a salary supplement.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a care assistant with the role of team leader with us, you will have an exciting and varied assignment where you both lead and plan the operations while working with daily care as a care assistant. Team leader is the perfect role for you who are driven regarding change work and really want the chance to influence and make a difference for both users and colleagues!

As a team leader, you will work with the unit manager to follow up and monitor the quality work in the department. You actively contribute to fulfilling the goal of creating a care home where each individual user has the opportunity to experience their existence as meaningful, manageable, and understandable, and you ensure that the efforts are carried out in line with the intentions of the Social Services Act regarding reasonable living standards and current case law.

You have several team leader colleagues, and you collaborate regularly, discussing various development opportunities and exchanging experiences. Most of your work as a team leader is performed in care, within a work group, where you also have a responsibility to lead and distribute the daily care work. You are a role model for your colleagues and contribute to creating a good climate in the work group. In addition to regular care work, you are responsible for:

  • Establishing daily planning based on users' needs
  • Supporting and leading your colleagues
  • Acting as a support for the unit's representatives in their various roles
  • Establishing, implementing, and following up routines for good order and clarity
  • In collaboration with the unit manager and coordinator, planning the introduction for new staff
  • In collaboration with the unit manager and coordinator, planning the staff group's vacation
  • Together with the unit manager driving and implementing planned change and improvement work within the organization
  • Following up on incident management and actively conducting the unit's value base work

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who are a trained care assistant with several years of professional experience. You need to master the Swedish language fluently in speech and writing, have good computer skills, and feel comfortable using digital tools in everyday life. If you can provide examples of occasions when you have been involved in driving various types of change and quality work, we see it as meritorious. In care, you work person-centered and can use methods such as low-arousal responses and validating approaches. You work goal-oriented to create a daily life for the user that is perceived as understandable, manageable, and meaningful.

We will place great emphasis on personal suitability, and we see that you are a star at creating and maintaining good relationships with users and their relatives, colleagues, managers, and other professional groups. To lead your colleagues in everyday life, you need to have good pedagogical insight and be able to convey messages adapted to the recipient. In change and quality work, you need to be action-oriented, meticulous, clear, and show perseverance. Lastly, we see that it is especially important that you have a very good ability to collaborate, where you work well with others and listen, communicate, and resolve conflicts in a constructive manner.
