The Gender Identity Clinic receives applicants with gender dysphoria who wish to undergo gender-affirming treatment. Our team consists of psychologists, specialist doctors, social workers, and a medical secretary. The clinic is well-established with clear routines and care processes.

We are in an exciting phase as the National Board of Health and Welfare has tasked Region Skåne, in collaboration with Region Östergötland, to provide national highly specialized care (NVH) in the field of gender dysphoria starting January 1, 2024. We share premises and have a common unit manager with the Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Clinic for Gender Identity in Malmö.

RESPONSIBILITIES

You will work largely independently as you explore gender identity with the patient and assess the conditions for gender-affirming treatment. In this work, you will benefit from broad psychological knowledge in areas such as diagnostics, neuropsychiatry, identity development, and conversation methodology. The work will also be team-oriented as you collaborate with your colleagues to compile the results of the assessments.

QUALIFICATIONS

We welcome you who are a licensed psychologist with the authority to practice within Swedish healthcare. Language skills in Swedish at least corresponding to level C1 according to the Council of Europe's scale are required. We would also like you to have experience working with treatment, assessment, and investigation within adult psychiatry.

Since we work in teams, it is important that you are open and receptive and can share your knowledge and experiences with others. You are confident in your professional role and have a good ability to work both individually and in groups. We value joy at work, commitment, and innovative thinking.
