Our Operations
The Urology department investigates and treats patients with diseases of the kidneys, ureters, bladder, prostate, urethra, penis, and testicles. Patients come from our healthcare region, but in many cases, we also receive patients from other parts of Sweden and even abroad. At our urology clinic, nurses, contact nurses, nursing assistants, urotherapists, coordinators, and doctors work together. We are now looking for a contact nurse for cancer patients in urology.
With us, you will have the opportunity to develop as a nurse with the support of experienced colleagues and contribute to improvement work with the patient's best interests in focus.
Your Mission
As a contact nurse, you will have overall responsibility for the patient and their relatives throughout the care chain. Your mission includes informing about upcoming steps in care and treatment, facilitating contacts with other professional groups, and being available during diagnosis announcements and conveying the patient's care plan.
The role also includes tasks at the urology clinic such as administering various medications, injections or bladder installations, catheter changes, and telephone advice. The tasks can be adapted according to interest and education.
You will have a varied and interesting job and will work alongside experienced colleagues.
Your Qualifications
You are a licensed nurse with at least a couple of years of experience in the profession. Experience in urological and/or oncological care is an advantage, as is previous work as a contact nurse.
Your Competence
We are looking for someone who can and wants to contribute with their knowledge and experience to our team. You, as a person, have good collaboration skills while enjoying working independently. You can organize and prioritize your tasks in a workplace with a changing pace. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.
We Offer
We offer you a stimulating job where there are great opportunities to develop as a nurse regardless of previous experience. With us, you will receive a personalized onboarding.
The position is a temporary contract for about a year with the possibility of extension. Full-time, daytime Mon-Fri. Start date by agreement.
