JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

We offer a varied, responsible, and stimulating job where you plan a large part of your working time based on the needs of the users at the center.

The occupational therapist in home care works together in a team with physiotherapists, nurses, care and support staff, and unit managers. The team works to achieve close and effective care and support based on the needs of the users.

In home care West, as a licensed occupational therapist, you help create conditions for our users to live as independently, participatively, and meaningfully as possible, starting from their own homes.

Your job responsibilities include, among other things:

• Assessments, prescription/trial of assistive devices, rehabilitation.
• Assessments of activity and functional ability as well as interventions such as training.
• Working preventively to maintain good health and reduce the risk of falls.
• Together with the team, you guide and educate care and support staff in a rehabilitative approach and transfer techniques.
• Actively work with the organization's goals and assignments.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for a licensed occupational therapist to join our team. You have an interest in working with the varying and individual needs of users. You can work both in a team and independently and take personal responsibility for your tasks. In your work, it is important to be attentive to the needs of the users and to provide good service.

Experience in elderly care and rehabilitation is an advantage; we place great emphasis on personal suitability, commitment, teamwork skills, and creativity.

In the unit, you will have another occupational therapist colleague as well as physiotherapist colleagues, where close collaboration and teamwork make the days rich in content and continuous exchange of experiences occurs.

You have a good ability to meet people in different situations in a professional manner and can collaborate with people in your surroundings, always with the user's best interests in focus.

Tierp municipality belongs to the Finnish administrative area. If you meet our other competency requirements and also speak Finnish, it can be an advantage.
