The Role

As a summer substitute, your tasks will include:

  • Support with personal care
  • Assist with household chores such as shopping, cooking, and cleaning
  • Support and facilitate various daily activities
  • Manage medications
  • Social interaction
  • Documentation/reporting

We in the care and social services department of Heby municipality have operations throughout the municipality. All our work is always based on the people we are here for. With us, you have the opportunity to support people towards a more independent life. We work days, evenings, and weekends, and some shifts may include on-call duties. We are passionate about our clients and their well-being, we have fun at work, and we enjoy collaborating and developing together.

Is This You?

You, like us, are passionate about working with people and know that a good approach is essential. You are engaged, calm, and secure. You have the ability to plan the various activities/interventions of the shift. You are responsible and self-driven. You listen, communicate, and resolve conflicts constructively. In stressful situations, you remain calm, stable, and focused on solutions. We want you to:

  • Be able to work the entire summer, weeks 25 – 32
  • Complete delegation training regarding medications so that you can assist in distributing medications to those in need.
  • Have the opportunity to complete your introduction before week 25, but we would like you to start working on an hourly basis earlier.

It is advantageous if you have experience and education in the area you are applying for. We would like you to have completed some web-based training regarding interaction and hygiene routines on the National Board of Health and Welfare's website. If you have completed any of these trainings, we would like you to attach these diplomas to your application.

Since there is extensive reporting/documentation, it is important that you master oral/written communication in Swedish.

To work in home care, a B driver's license is required.
