Your Assignment

The nursing unit is looking for a licensed nurse for home care Kastanjen. Together with two colleagues, you will be responsible for approximately 45 patients. The position is located in Ljusne, about ten kilometers outside Söderhamn.

The work involves both independent tasks and close collaboration in a team. You will identify and prevent risks in care and map the patients' needs for health and medical care interventions. The role also includes educating and mentoring nursing staff in a pedagogical and professional manner.

Documentation is done in the Lifecare HSL system, and the work also includes registration in several national quality registers. You will continuously collaborate with other care providers, both internally within the organization and externally.

Description of the Workplace

The nursing unit consists of nurses, specialist nurses, and district nurses who work within care and nursing homes, short-term care, functional support, and home care. The unit is responsible for the municipality's health and medical care efforts around the clock.

With us, you will work closely with nursing assistants, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, and unit managers to ensure safe and good care.

The working hours are mainly during the day, but evening and weekend shifts are included. Currently, weekend work occurs every eighth weekend. When working evenings and weekends, the assignment covers the entire municipality.

We actively work to promote a good working environment and therefore offer favorable working hours. Full-time corresponds to 37 hours per week. In addition, we offer flexible working hours, the possibility of vacation exchange, wellness grants, and free access to the municipality's gym.

Your Competence

We are looking for someone who is a licensed nurse. The position requires that you have a good command of the Swedish language in both speech and writing and hold a B driver's license.

As a person, you are independent, engaged, and have a positive attitude towards your profession. You are flexible and have the ability to see opportunities in changes. You make well-founded decisions based on available information and act accordingly. You communicate clearly and adapt your message to the recipient.

The work is carried out in teams, which means that you need to have good collaboration skills, be solution-focused, and have a professional and respectful approach in all situations. You have the ability to see the whole picture and act with the organization's best interests in mind, while also being confident in your professional role.

Furthermore, you are structured and have a good ability to plan, organize, and prioritize your work effectively while keeping to set deadlines.

Great importance will be placed on personal qualities.

Work experience in municipal health and medical care, as well as training in mentoring, further education in elderly care, or district nurse education is meritorious but not a requirement.
